Founded in Barcelona in 2001 by David Pellicer — a third-generation eyewear maker — Etnia Barcelona set out to shake up an industry stuck in black and brown. From its very first collection, the brand made color the whole point.
That spirit is pure Barcelona: open, rebellious, and creative. Etnia develops its own palettes by drawing on art, photography, architecture and street culture, with collections that have paid tribute to legendary artists.
Every frame is handcrafted from natural, cotton-based acetate produced in Italy, paired with pure mineral glass lenses — an independent brand that still controls quality from start to finish.
